Dear Valued Customers,
Happy Canada Day and Happy Fourth of July to our friends south of the border. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We want to provide another update regarding the Jaromir Jagr private signing.
On June 10th, many European countries began the reopening of their borders up to Americans, Canadians and other visitors after more than a year of COVID-induced restrictions. Until recently, there have been no changes to the situation in the Czech Republic. They were in a state of emergency since October 5, 2020. On June 24th, the Czech Republic announced that it is now open to travelers from countries that follow the ECDC’s traffic light system, where arrivals are grouped into traffic light colors, with red being the most at risk. Only travelers arriving from anywhere in the EU or green zones are allowed to enter for non-essential reasons, i.e. as tourists. Currently, Canada does not have a green light to enter the Czech Republic and must enter quarantine if they travel there for essential purposes. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as we have them. The health and safety of our staff, customers and Jaromir Jagr continue to be of the utmost importance to us and in order to proceed, we need to ensure it is safe for all parties involved.
As of Wednesday, June 30th, most of Ontario entered Stage 2 of the reopening phase. This means hair salons and similar facilities can open with masking rules, and retail stores can have more people inside. Groups of up to 25 people can gather outdoors and five people can gather indoors. These changes are taking effect a few ahead of schedule due to strong vaccination rates and other public indicators. The province of Ontario's lifted lockdown had been in place since December 26, 2020. Even though the restrictions in Ontario are being lifted slowly, Canada will remain closed to non-essential international and US travel until July 21st.
Now that the vaccine is available in Canada and quickly being administered across the country we are confident that travel and restrictions will be lifted by the end of July. With the threat of the Delta variant looming we want to make certain all parties are fully vaccinated before we schedule our trip to Europe. As the opportunity for travel in Europe begins to look more optimistic, we are certain this signing will get done.
We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience. Thank you again for your understanding.
Please let me know if I could be of any further assistance to you.
